This post will feature ideas for you and your guests throughout your wedding weekend because... why not celebrate as much as you can?
These things will obviously depend on the location of your wedding, so I'll offer a few options for NC cities I often plan in.
Day 1:
Event #1: Welcome Party
Welcoming your out of town guests and introducing family members that may not yet know each other can be a great way to kick off the weekend. Having a place with some food and drinks that people can go in and out of as they arrive can ease everyone in to the whole weekend smoothly.
This could also be at a fun place in your city, like a brewery in Charlotte or a winery in Asheville. There are plenty of options for venues for parties like this!
Event #2: Rehearsal Dinner
The rehearsal dinner with a smaller group of people is where you and your wedding party will practice and make sure they know their places so that things run smoothly on your wedding day.
Day 2:
Event: Wedding
Today is all about your wedding. You can organize a breakfast with you and your party, or if you don't need as much time to get ready, go out before starting your day. However, if not, you could pre-organize a brunch for the couples' families, and just focus on your wedding day!
Day 3:
Event #1: Brunch
A post-wedding brunch with close friends and family is a touch I love for weddings. It's a nice little recap of the night and seeing off out of town family members before they leave. Sunny Point Café in Asheville, Snooze in Charlotte, and Notions in Hickory are all *chef's kiss*
All in all, planning a full weekend of activities can both help you be less stressed and also just add to the overall fun! I'd love to look at options with you to help build your perfect wedding weekend for you and your guests.
